Course of studies „Diplom“
The curriculum of the course of studies consists of:
- 40 % of natural sciences and technological subjects,
- 25 % of business subjects,
- 15 % of law and languages subjects
- 20 % of applied computer science subjects.
Data processing and communication are treated as interdisciplinary fields of all areas and are integrated in the respective special areas.
A graduate of “Diplom” Transport Engineering / Logistics is confronted with a wide spread course of study with an integrated industrial placement.
The students will be able to act in concert with experts form various branches to cooperate and develop collective solutions.
The course of study “Diplom” is separated into a basic and a main course. The first 3 semesters focus on the basics of logistics. The following main course consists of 5 semesters containing courses with many practical applications and a practical period in the industry which takes place in the 5th or 6th semester. This industrial placement should be served in a logistics company. The following semesters deepen and enlarge upon the experience gained during the activities in the industry.
The interdisciplinary case studies deal with complex real-life logistics related problems from various logistics fields and are solved in teams.
Major focuses within in the course of studies
The student has to be select one of two major focuses within the main part of the course of studies:
- Logistics for the Transport and Service Industries(Logistik von Verkehrs- und
Dienstleistungsbetrieben - LVD )

Logistics for Industry and Commerce (Logistik der Industrie- und
Handelsbetriebe - LIH )
